Highlights of Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City

Zhen Guan Cultural Square

Zhen Guan Cultural Square is the core of Tang Dynasty Ever Bridge City. It consists of four cultural and artistic buildings: Xi’an Grand Theater, Xi’an Concert Hall, Qujiang Art Museum, and Qujiang Pacific Cinema. The square employs the highest standards of Chinese architectural craftsmanship, conveying the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty. The four major cultural venues are seamlessly connected with a 1,500-meter-long scenic pedestrian street. With elegant symphonic music, splendid performance halls, and exquisite interior decorations, the square creates a majestic artistic sanctuary, becoming a central hub for cultural and artistic activities in the western region.

Kai Yuan Square

Kai Yuan Square is the climax of the central axis of Tang Dynasty Ever Bridge City. The centerpiece is the “Kai Yuan Prosperity” sculpture, standing 12.95 meters tall. At the top of the tallest pedestal is a 4.59-meter-tall statue of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang (Li Longji), with the height of 4.59 meters symbolizing the highest honor, the “Nine-Five Supremacy.” Emperor Li Longji stands before a massive circular dragon wall, fully displaying the majesty of the Tang dynasty.

The square features eight vermilion LED dragon pillars, each 20 meters high, with four on each side. The pillars symbolize the four directions, four extremes, four surroundings, and four seas, aligning with the number eight, representing universality and connectivity. This design perfectly embodies the architectural aesthetics of Tang Dynasty Ever Bridge City, transforming Kai Yuan Square into an open-air palace. Visitors within the square are transported back to the height of the Tang Dynasty’s grandeur.

Central Sculpture Landscape Street

The Central Sculpture Landscape Street is a 1500-meter-long axis that runs north to south through Ever Bridge City, featuring nine thematic groups of sculptures representing prosperous emperors, historical figures, heroic stories, and classic art pieces.

Zhen Guan Monument: This landmark sculpture in Ever Bridge City consists of a statue of Emperor Taizong of Tang (Li Shimin) on horseback, surrounded by various supporting sculptures. Emperor Taizong, prominently positioned in the center, is depicted atop a high-stepping horse, holding the reins with a commanding posture, ready to advance. He is flanked by attendants and flag bearers. The front of the monument is inscribed with the words “贞观之治 Zhen Guan Rule,” while the back features a detailed list of significant figures from the Zhenguan era.

All Nations Tribute Sculpture: Following the Zhenguan Rule and Kai Yuan Prosperity, the Tang Dynasty emerged as one of the most powerful nations of its time, becoming a highly coveted Eastern paradise for many countries. The capital city of Chang’an was seen as a revered destination, attracting numerous envoys from the Western regions. The All Nations Tribute Sculpture depicts the Tang Dynasty’s dominance and the grand scene of nations paying tribute.

Wu Zetian Procession Sculpture: This sculpture group honors Wu Zetian, the only female emperor in Chinese history. Based on the Tang dynasty court lady painter Zhang Xuan’s “Empress Wu Zetian Procession,” it connects Zhenguan Square with Kai Yuan Square. The sculptures showcase the thriving atmosphere of the Tang Dynasty, bridging the Zhenguan era’s glory with the prosperity of the Kai Yuan period, and vividly portraying the magnificence of the Tang Dynasty.
